Calvin Klein opens in Cape Town
12/04/2014Classic and minimalist fashion brand, Calvin Klein, has launched in South Africa. Few fashion houses have ever encapsulated the zeitgeist in such a way; Klein practically owned 90s cool and the masses wanted in. Who didn't own a bottle of CK One? Personally, I believe that all fashion houses excell at something other brands can't touch. While I appreciate the clean lines and consistent beauty in Klein's garments, what the company did with its unisex fragrance and underwear lines was genius. Ergo, for me, Calvin Klein is all about its super comfy and reasonably priced underwear.
Edcon brought the brand to our shores which opened at the V & A Waterfront last week. As you can see, you can find everything from jeans, tees and sportswear to dresses, accessories and underwear. The store also offers great menswear with crisp suits and shirts fit for stylish dudes. Definitely check out the shop! After the launch, we headed over to Roeland Street for a beautiful after-party. I smelled CK One everywhere in the indigo and candle-lit studio overlooking the city lights. We chatted, ate desserts, drank champagne and danced the night away. Magical. Welcome to Cape Town, Calvin Klein.
