It seems to me that Hip Hop has grown up in terms of garment construction and trend direction so I quite enjoyed their collection. The models walked slowly to the end of a fan-blown runway, taking their time to pose and showcase the dresses. We were delighted with metallics, romantic prints (one of my favorites was a European architecture print maxi) and spidery sheer slips. Velvet, chiffon, buttery silks and raw satin ruled the runway while well-placed feathers and faux fur added touches of texture. As always, you can find more photos on Facebook.
Ruff Tung's colour ways conjured up thoughts of white sand beaches, turquoise oceans and coral under the sea. We also saw some laser-cut acrylic disc accessories, gathers, batwing sleeves, delicate blouses and the peplum trend that I saw all over the UK club scene this Summer.
