Michelle Ludek is on trend. Her aquatic themed collection is going to pop up in all of my seapunk daydreams. Sea urchin accessories, jellyfish-esque gathers, blue, turquoise, shell pink and coral colours - this range was well-thought out and brought the theme through beautifully. I feel like I've seen Michelle's oceanic inspiration translate into an amazing conclusion, she's put her own stamp on the sea, this feels intimately her and I appreciate her vision.
I'm currently sorting through thousands of images from fashion week so I thought I'd share some chic backs from the collections in the meantime. Buckles at Tart, Stefania Morland's cute bows, flowing maxis from Habits and Cheryl Arthur's dreamy prints. It's all about the details baby!
On day 3 of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Cape Town, Michelle Ludek presented a comfortable ready-to-wear collection of neon brights and citrus hues. Great get-ups for post-beach sundowners. I loved the lace molding and warrior-worthy gold accessories. Phew that's a lot of hyphens haha! You can check out more pics on Facebook.

Michelle Ludek's collection was inspired by a trip she took to Mozambique. She focused on comfort and garnished with bold accessories. Magenta items were mixed in with watercolour print dresses that were infused with a metallic foil effect. Dip backs, shoulder flashing and hanging chain accessories punctuated her pieces. I'm in with love those upper-arm bangles. Fringing and maxi dresses are beginning to resemble trends for S/S as a whole.
