A backdrop of lush greenery and perfect sunsets. We yell out for Daniel to come out of the bathroom and some other guy rushes out because that's his name too. We collapse into laughter before someone else jumps out from behind a corner, giving us a fright. It's our Daniel and now he's the one whose sides are splitting. We're pranksters, egging each other on. We play-fight with slushies from the petrol station and argue about who took the vape. We tease each other, trying to trick whoever is being the most gullible. They are my perfect pair and Cape Town is our favourite playground. May the mischief never cease.

Last December South African wife and mother, Yasmeen Bhamjee Moosa had a great idea. Like most of us, she loved shoes so, having given up work as an attorney, she decided to embark on her passion to manufacture limited quality footwear in accordance with the latest European trends. Today, she's opened online store Strut 24 for the woman who's on trend but is looking for something unique. 

"The name Strut is synonymous with leaving an impression, making a mark so to speak and 24 is personal in that it's my birthdate but also because of the online store, it allows one to shop 24 hours of the day and in turn suggests that Strut shoes are amazing enough to be worn for 24 hours of the day!"

All of the styles are named after the women in her family who have supported her on her journey to realise her dream and only 12 pairs are made per style so girls can be sure they're getting something exclusive. Every girl needs a good dress with a low back to make her feel like a million bucks. I'm counting on red wine nights when I can dance and be dipped low. Twirls and smiles when I catch your eye again. The past is a ghost that's fading by the second. Halloween can only bring so much to life and some ghouls are out of luck. Now when I get scared, I'm more excited than afraid. I can't be frightened of good things, only nervous on adrenaline. Horrors have been washed away and my house will only be haunted by friends pushing each other into the pool. Their laughter stays behind and sometimes keeps my neighbours up at night. I'll be sleeping soundly.

 
Nine West recently presented their new collection for Spring/Summer 14 and it's poppin! Brights, sorbets, snakeskin, metallic, florals and nautical footwear put a smile on my face because summer cannot come any sooner. I don't know about you but I'm tired of boots and longing for strappier styles. Nine West has it sorted with an array of trends to choose from. The event was delightful and I got to catch up with the girls while getting pedicures and restraining myself from eating every single dessert. I love the printed bags especially the chic Strelitzia clutch since it just screams South Africa to me but the new bag I got was the perfect size to store a blogger's best friend (giant camera) and has served me well already. This is going to be a very busy few months, I can't wait.

Put on your big fur coat like a rock star and never look back. The time is now and you are ready for anything. I recently got my hands on my first pair of Louboutins from Apsley 2! I have heard some crazy stories surrounding these shoes, scam artists who return fake pairs and keep the real ones, friends who disappear with them and salaries blown on the studded ones. I've worn them twice so far and they fit like a glove. Christian Louboutin makes half-sizes which are seriously perfect, I got a 3 and a half and never has a shoe fit me so well.

Have you heard? Tacky is a disease and I have been suffering from it for a few years. It causes me to seek out items that look like a robot dinosaur and gay flamingo's lovechild. This lovechild (let's call him Heather) coughs rhinestones, sneezes studs and makes you look like an eccentric tool with obnoxious taste. Long live Heather.
