I just finished the 1st term of 2nd year but I don't have a minute to myself yet, I'm off to get my hair done for my cousin's wedding. I'm a bridesmaid but no fashion fiascos await, she's let us buy our own LBDs. I went for a sweetheart flared dress that reminds me of the 50s. God the 50s clothing was so beautiful, sometimes I just want to make myself those bathing suits, curl my hair, string some pearls around my neck and slick on some bright red lipstick. Those broads had class.
I finally completed my ball gown but the Crystal Gala has been canceled due to the recession so now we'll have to find another show to put the dresses in. One way or another, they'll get the exposure they deserve. The 2nd years really did outdo themselves.
Even though I've been getting girlier over the years, a few boundries still remain, I went for my first facial on Wednesday. It was amazing, I couldn't stop touching my face, try as I might. It's turned out pretty good, I can't wait till next time.

These are two of my Crystal Gala boards, I'll be finishing the green one this week. Then I'm going to be a bridesmaid at my cousin's wedding at the end of the term. Just two more weeks! I'm going to be styling a photo shoot then as well so there will be tons of fun photos.
I've been trying to treat myself to a spa day every fortnight which has really been helping me in more ways than one. I really feel like it's money well spent, I know it's not at all considered a common exercise but I think more people should put their money towards it. It's such a constructive way to de-stress, my body has never been so happy, my nails are super strong and my back is relaxed.

On Thursday I have the Hello Kitty Mac Launch, I'm so excited. I get to preview the range before everyone else and it has so many intense pinks which get me all crazy like. I recently discovered that although I have an aversion to pink, it works for my pale complexion the best. Which is sort of what life does to you, doesn't it? I'm not into blonde guys and I bet you I'll end up marrying one.
I went to an 80s party last week, it was so fun, like being in a time warp. Love the clothes, love the music. This year it's all about themes due to all the 21sts I'm going to. My next one is themed, "kiddies". Every fashion savvy girl knows it's about making the theme work for you and not working for the theme. Unless you roll that way of course, nothing wrong with being silly.
Every day there's been something going on, fabric shopping, story boards to finish, patterns to make, grading to avoid (oh god I hate grading). Right now I'm very content to relax and veg out, brother.
I've discovered how valuable research is, designs just fall into place after enough research is done. Here are my latest designs for the Crystal Gala, the theme was Venetian Masked Ball.
I'm making the 1st one although I do love the other two. I'm making it in green and accenting it with peacock feathers and my scary as hell venetian mask. I swear I have to go into accessories or writing because I always seem to gravitate towards those fields. I was just dripping with excitement when I thought of an elegant ball gown coupled with a scary as hell venetian mask.
