I couldn't resist sharing these, that's it for Fashion Week coverage I swear! I loved the street style this year, everyone really brought it on the final two days with brights, faux fur, sequins and bad ass accessories. Nicely done!
I had so many pictures from my fashion week adventure so I thought I'd share more. From my shoe falling apart on Day 2 (and my girls helping me out with gum, tape and eventually pumps) to laughing in the dark before shows, it was another great year. Thanks to AFI, Zahrah Perry, Nicole Warr, Chocolate Cake, Clouds Drummond, Robyn Cooke, Mbali and Mac for your company, assistance and style. You made it special for me. I still have some street style snaps, keen? ;)
Craig Port was inspired by David Bowie and presented a sophisticated monochromatic collection save for cameos by Bowie's famous lightning orange. I really enjoyed this show and I'm glad to finish up my reviews here. Craig's womenswear always bring me a dress to drool over and this time was no exception, the little sequin number has such a gorgeous back (check it out here) and while we're at it the bustier maxi is also on my shopping list. I also love a man in mesh. I'm serious, gimme gimme, I love risky trends. With leather collars, cuffs and hems, a hot finale of suits and a story successfully told I left fashion week with a smile. See you all again next year x
Lalesso gave us funky prints, pops of neon and backpacks with fringed details. Accessories can really amp up a collection and look very mindful. The backpacks and neon prints were my favorite thing about this collection; I'd love to rock the mini in the first pic. This entire range didn't completely hit for me but I appreciate that they've stayed true to their style. I'd love to see an entire swimwear line from Lalesso.
I'm proud to see Tart shaping up nicely, they were a definite highlight this year. Playful and detailed prints, risky cut-out overlays, Michael Jackson-esque lone gloves, custom gold accessories and even straitjacket elements (listen I love those things, I have the chicest straitjacket get up I MUST wear for an outfit post) spoke of an original and imaginative collection. I left the show feeling happy and satisfied. What more does a fashion girl want?
