Behind The Scenes: Jem And The Holograms Manic Panic Shoot

5/10/2016

I had the pleasure of working with some amazing creatives ahead of the release of the Limited Edition Manic Panic Jem and the Holograms Collection which became available in South Africa this month through AnonaMiss Beauty Emporium. I LOVE crazy hair because it makes me feel more 'me' and that feeling has a ripple effect on everything.

SJ Van Zyl, the creative genius behind Pixelicious Design & Photography, got a team together to transform a couple of girls into band members from the famous 80s animated series, Jem and the Holograms. Needless to say, this fun opportunity was totally up my alley. SJ found me through Scar and then my trusted hairdresser Verushka, used the new Manic Panic dyes to make some magic.

I've really got to give it to SJ, not only did he photograph and edit the shoot but his supreme make up artistry got me looking "Truly Outrageous!".  He's my favourite make up artist I've ever worked with because he's exceptionally talented and a joy to collaborate with.

Most of these beautiful behind the scenes photos were taken by make up artist, Tanya ViljoenCheck back soon for the final results of the shoot and details on how to get your hands on these kick ass hair dyes.

Special thanks to SJ, Tanya, Delin Naude, Gabbi from AnonaMiss Beauty Emporium, Redrum Culture ClubVon Fersen Stylist and Verushka.
