Last month I was asked to return to Expresso for another craft segment so I decided to toy with the embellished sunglasses trend. This is a super cute and easy DIY for the summer, plus I'm a sucker for revamping old items. Customize your glasses in a subtle manner for daily wear or go crazy for a fun look, whatever suits your style.


 You will need:

• A pair of old sunglasses
• Embellishments of your choice
• Any container
• Superglue
• Clear nail polish

Start out by picking an embellishment to accentuate your frames then add a layer of glue to the area of the glasses you would like to embellish. I find flatback embellishments the easiest to work with. When dealing with smaller beads, I would place them in a container and dip the glasses in to pick them up. Scoop some more beads in your hands and drop them in the empty spots. After you've applied the beads to your glasses, allow the glue a second to dry then apply a coat of clear polish to set them. Leave again to dry and voila, jazzed up new sunnies ready for your next tanning session!
