I was enchanted by this photograph and had to share it: Times Square on Saturday night, August 27th after the mayor ordered the first mandatory evacuation in the city's history. I've always loved the brutal flashiness of Times Square that offers no apologies because I remember learning how the Great Depression saw the lights turned off and the theatres closed; it reflects the times just like fashion narrates history. The natural disasters that face the northern hemisphere are extremely frightening and my thoughts are with those who have experienced and continue to experience this kind of tragic turmoil in the West as well as the East.
